Top 3 Mac Lipsticks

Mac are famous for their famous lipsticks which any makeup lover will most likely own. I would class these as high end lipsticks but at only £15.50, they are definitely in reach for most people. I love the packaging of these lipsticks! I think they look so sleek and professional and most importantly, I love their formulas.

2 out of my 3 favourite lipsticks are matte ones and the other one is a creamsheen. The first favourite is a creamsheen in the shade 'Creme Cup'. I have owned this for years and have repurchased it. This was actually the first Mac product I owned and the first product to get me into this brand. This shade is a nudey pink and looks so lovely on my pale skin tone. I feel like if you had dark skin then this might be to pale but for medium to light tones, I would definitely recommend it. The formula of this lipstick makes it feel nice and creamy without being sticky and moving around the lips. I find that this particular one lasts a while but I will always have to re-apply after drinking or eating.

My next favourite one is the famous 'Velvet Teddy' which is a matte finish. This lipstick is so stunning and I think it suits most skin tones lovely. It is a browny colour but not too dark. This shade is so pigmented and is lovely with both natural or full on glam makeup looks. This lipstick is so popular and I can definitely see why. This also lasts for such a long time as it is a matte formula.

The final lipstick which I love is yet again a matte finish and is in the shade 'Men love Mystery'. This colour is a lovely purple shade. On my light skin tone, it comes up quite bright and is definitely not an everyday shade. I tend to wear this on rare occasions where I will be going out. When going for a meal, I can wear this and not have to re-apply all night which is amazing. On darker skin tones, this shade would probably be more wearable as it isn't as much of a contrast.

Bourjois Java Rice Powder

I have such a problem finding a powder which I absolutely love. This powder is definitely different. This powder is so cheap. For just £9.99 you get so much product. This powder is a loose powder which has light boosting pigments in it. This powder gives you a really highlighted effect and makes your skin look glowy without making you look stupidly glittery! This also makes my makeup stay in place all day and I couldn't say a bad word about this powder.

Have you tried this powder? What are your thoughts?

Rimmel Lipliners

I find that when wearing a lipstick, it never lasts as long as I would like without using a lipliner. I am very picky about my lipliners and tend to not like very drying ones. My favourite drugstore brand for lipliners is Rimmel London. I absolutely love these lipliners and for the ridiculously cheap price you pay, you couldn't fault them.

The first one I love is the 1000 Kisses lipliner. This is more of a browny nude than the other colour and is a pencil. The texture of this is great for a pencil. The shade I have is Tiramisu and is very nude and fits any deeper nude lipsticks you will own. This one retails in at just £2.99 which is amazing for how much use you get out of it.

The other lipliner I have is the Exaggerate lip liner. This isn't a pencil and is more of a crayon texture which you twist up to get more product which is really handy. Using a pencil lipliner can be such a pain when it becomes blunt but this one, you wont have that problem with. This one is actually £3.99 (just a pound more than the other one) but in my opinion is still so cheap and definitely worth every penny and more.

Have you tried any of these lip liners or have any other recommendations?

Icona Milano- Emotion Allowed Mascara

Recently I uploaded a blog post on my Glossybox. Inside it, I said that I received this mascara by Icona Milano which is a brand which I have never heard of before. I have been wearing this mascara every day since receiving it and I can honestly say I love it. This mascara really elongates my lashes and makes them so much longer and really enhances my eyes. The colour of this mascara is also extremely black which I love.

The one downside to this mascara is just how waterproof it is! I understand that its purpose is to be waterproof and it really does do an amazing job of doing so but it is just so difficult to take off at the end of the day. I have found that the only way to take it off is by using the Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Water which really breaks it down and makes it 10x easier to remove.

Overall I do think this is an amazing mascara and would really be ideal for being round the pool on holiday as it won't budge at all.

Have you tried this mascara, what are your opinions?

NYX Liquid Suede- Sandstorm

I have always heard a lot about the brand NYX and a few months ago my local Boots got a NYX counter which was amazing! Ever since the NYX counter was put in place, I haven't been able to stay away, I honestly can't get enough of NYX products. I feel that as a brand, it is overall really amazing and have such a wide range of products.

One of the products I purchased was the Liquid Suede in the shade sandstorm. This is my go-to lip colour if I want something to last all day and don't want to be spending my time worrying about it smudging or having to re-apply it. This is a liquid lipstick but it drys matte. I find that I can put this on in the morning and go a full day with eating food and only have to re-apply it once maybe.

I absolutely love this colour aswell. It is a nudey brown which is definitely the go-to colour for a lot of people lately. I have pale skin and I thought this shade would be too dark for my skin and wash me out but it really doesn't and really compliments my skin tone.

Have you tried any of these liquid suedes? What are your opinions?

B. Latex-free Blending Sponge

Makeup Sponges have been so popular this year and I can really see why. I think the original sponge is the Beauty Blender which I haven't actually tried yet so I can't compare. One I have tried though is the Real Techniques sponge. I find with that sponge that it is really firm and is actually a lot harder to blend out than this sponge by B. which is a lot softer.

I have been using this sponge for around 6 months now and have repurchased about 4 (I tend to replace them after a little more than a month). This sponge really blends out your foundation really nicely and seamlessly. I used to use the Real Techniques expert face brush for my foundation but I feel using a sponge makes my skin look more natural and flawless. I believe this sponge cost me around £5 which is really cheap compared to the price you would pay for a good makeup brush. The only downside is that it does need replacing around once a month.

Have you tried any makeup sponges, what are your favourites?

Sally Hansen- Preppy

For years now, I have been wearing nail polish and been on a hunt to find the perfect nail polish brand. I have tried a ridiculous amount of brands from drugstore to high end. one of my favourite drugstore brands would have to be Rimmel, they have such a wide variety of colours! Another favourite brand of mine is Essie! This is a new brand to me and I really love this brand and its formula but I do find that they chip a bit more easier than I would like.

A new brand I have recently discovered is Sally Hansen. This brand solely sells nail polish and have such a wide variety of colours and shades. I have only tried 1 of their colours so far but I absolutely love it and I will have to purchase more. I purchased the colour 375, Preppy. It is a gorgeous lilacy ,pink colour and i definitely don't own anything like this. I find that this formula is really long-wearing and doesn't chip at all.

Another polish I purchased from Sally Hansen was the Hard As Nails. This polish really is a miracle worker and does exactly what it says on the tin. I have tried so many nail hardeners before and this one is definitely the best one by a mile. I normally use this as a base coat so it can work as a 2 in 1.

What is your favourite nail polish brand?

Top 5 Foundations

Over my years of collecting makeup, I have collected so many foundations. Some I have loved and some i haven't loved. I will talk you through my top 5 foundations and why I love them so much.

Bourjois- Healthy Mix
This is the foundation I have loved for the longest time. Bourjois is one of my favourite drugstore brands for base products. I really do think that they are top of the drugstore in this area. This Healthy Mix foundation is absolutely stunning, it is very dewey and makes your skin look so glowy and flawless. The coverage on this is also great, I would say it is medium to high coverage.

Bourjois- City Radiance
This is defiantly a foundation for those days where you want a really natural base. This foundation has a SPF of 30 which is great for when your'e on holiday and it also has an anti-pollution screen which protects your skin from the harmful chemicals in the air in busy city's. I really like this foundation for when I am having a good skin day because it gives the 'your skin but better' look.

Mac- Studio Fix Fluid
This foundation is definitely an oldie but a goodie. I have been wearing this foundation for a few years now and I will always repurchase it. It is the only drugstore foundation I ave tried and actually loved. It gives such a full coverage without making your face look cakey. I would say this foundation gives you a radiant look without looking overly dewey. I also find that this foundation lasts all day.

L'Oreal- Infallible 24 Hour Matte Foundation
I have really dry skin so I am not normally a fan of matte foundation, this is an exception though. This is my go to foundation for the winter months where  I don't want as much of a glow. This really stays on your face for a long time and pairs nicely with the infallible primer. I 'm not entirely sure if it does last 24 hours but it really does last a long time.

The Body Shop- Fresh Nude Foundation
This is the newest foundation to my collection and I am really loving it. I have worn it most days for the past month and it wears lovely. It is a really dewey foundation and will look lovely for the summer time(which should be now but I live in England). This foundation also stays in place for such a long time and I would really recommend this product.

What are your favourite foundations?

Victoria Secret Bodysprays

I have seen so many people raving about the Victoria Secret body sprays and i am always looking to update my collection. I was so overwhelmed when I entered the Victoria Secret shop, there are so many body sprays it is ridiculous.

The first spray I picked up was the Coconut Passion spray. This is my new favourite out of my whole collection, it really does smell amazing. I'm not amazing at explaining scents so I wouldn't expect anything amazing! I would describe this as a really sweet scent with hints of vanilla and coconut in it. I would wear this day or night, I really do think it would suit any occasion.

Next I got a PINK spray called Warm and Cosy. This one is more of a day scent as it is so sweet and florally. I would say this smells of raspberry and vanilla. This is more of a light scent for the daytime where you don't want an overpowering scent.

Finally, i got another PINK spray called Hot Crush. This one has a bit of a warmer smell than the others but still is really sweet. This one has base smells of jasmine and vanilla and is florally just like the others. It is more of a night scent because it has more of a warm tone to it.

I really would recommend the Victoria Secret body sprays as they have amazing scents. The scents are really strong and are so long-lasting and I would say they are more of a perfume than a body mist.

Have you tried any of the body mists, what are your thoughts?

Stila In the Light Palette

So today I thought I would give you a review of the Stila In the Light Palette. I have owned this for around a year now and I really do love it (hence the reason why it looks so messy).  You can buy this from Beauty bay for £25. This palette is great for a simple look or an all out night look. This is such a versatile product which is why I love it so much. I tend to put this palette to the back of my drawer for a while and always love it when I reach for it again.

All of these colours are so creamy and blend so easily. The palette has a range of matte shades and shimmery which is amazing to have a range to choose from. One of my favourite colours in this palette is the shade 'kitten' which is the 2nd one in on the top row. This shade is so shimmery and could definitely be used for a highlight. As you can see in the image below of the swatches, all the colours are so different to each other which I love! I really do think this is an amazing product for the price you pay and I actually prefer the formulae of Stila eyeshadows over brands like Urban Decay.

Have any of you tried this palette or any other Stila products?

Glossybox: July Edition

So today, I received Glossybox's July edition. I look forward to these every month and can't wait to dive in to them. I do think that this months box is quite nice compared to other months where I won't find use of certain things. One thing I love about Glossyboxes is the packaging. It really does look like a lot of time and effort goes in to making these. For just £10 a month with products worth up to £55, I really do think it is worth it.

So in the picture above is the sheet that comes with the box, explaining if the products are full sized or not, how much they cost and what exactly they are. I really find this sheet handy. In the July box, all products are full size and had 5 products in it.

The first product was the Utan and Tone Nourishing Night Creme. This is basically a night cream which also acts as a fake tan for your face. It says that it works as a gradual tan but is white in colour so won't stain anything like your pillow. Another great thing about this is that it doesn't have a typical 'fake tan smell' which can definitely put me off fake tan. This retails in at £12.50 and I am super excited to try this product.

Next up was the Soft and Gentle Hair Minimise Anti-Perspirant. Apparently this product contains a hair growth minimizer called keliosoft  which is a natural plant molecule which reduces hair growth. I think this product sounds absolutely amazing as it is a pain shaving armpits so often. I really do hope this works as it only cost £2.99 so I will repurchase it.

The next thing I picked up was the Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Mascara. I am always looking for new mascaras and the last mascara I received in a Glossybox was the Revlon Ultra Volume which is now a favourite of mine. I also like the fact that this is a waterproof one because I have really sensitive eyes which can water in the wind so I'm hoping this will keep it in place. This retails in at £13.04
Next up was the Hairon De-Tangle Brush. This is a de-tangling brush which seems very similar to a Tangle Teezer which I absolutely love. It says on the sheet that it is great for de-tangling wet hair so I will definitely be seeing if this compares to my Tangle Teezer. This brush comes in at £6.99.

Finally, the last item I picked up was the Blank Canvas F20 Flat Brush which I was super excited about. This brush looks ideal for blending out foundation. This brush could be my new go-to foundation brush which would be amazing. The bristles are so soft and not too dense; this really seems like an amazing brush and only costs £11.95.

Drugstore Starter Kit

As a huge lover of makeup, I have a lot of it in my collection. I have a range of both drugstore and high end but I love it when I find amazing drugstore products for such little prices. I thought I'd give you my recommendations for a drugstore starter kit today, so on that note lets get to it.

First of all, lets discuss the primer. My favourite drugstore primer is the Body Shop Insta Blur. I'm guessing this brand classes as drugstore anyway, it costs £14 so it's probably just on the edge of becoming high end. I honestly do think it is worth the money you pay though. This primer does what it claims to do and blurs your pores and keeps your makeup in place all day.

Next is the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. This is my all time favourite foundation from the drugstore. I have been re-purchasing this foundation for a few years now and I love it. It leaves a nice dewy finish and has medium to high coverage. I really love the colour range from Bourjois aswell, the shade Light Vanilla fits my skin tone amazingly.

For concealer, my favourite from the drugstore is the Lasting Perfection by Collection. This concealer is also a product I have repurchased over and over again. It has great coverage and does a great job of highlighting under the eyes. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for a high coverage concealer.

My favourite drugstore powder is the NYX HD finishing powder. This is a fairly new one to my collection but I think it does a really good job of setting my makeup in place all day. It also prevents my under eyes from creasing which is a problem I suffer with quite badly so would definitely recommend this.

For contour, I have really been enjoying the Maybeline Master Contour stick. I'm not normally one for cream contour as I feel it takes longer than I'd like to apply but as this one is in a chubby stick style, I have been really enjoying it. I blend this out with my beauty blender and it really makes it look flawless. I'm not actually a fan of the highlight side of this but really do recommend it just for the contour side. If you aren't a fan of cream contour then I would recommend The Body Shop Honey bronzer.

My favourite mascara for the last few months has been the Revlon ultra Volume one. I got this mascara in a Glossybox and I have used it every day since. I even use this over my high end mascaras such as the Benefit They're Real mascara. One thing I like about this is how easy it is to remove at the end of the day; with some others it can be a task in itself removing it. I will definitely be repurchasing this product.

For eyebrows, I tend to use matt brown eyeshadows from palettes like the Naked palette. If i have to choose a product from the drugstore for my eyebrows, I will definitely choose the Soap and Glory Brow Archery. This product reminds me of the Anastasia Brow Wiz. You can really make your eyebrows look natural with this product and is really quick to apply.

Finally, for highlighter is the famous Sleek Solstice palette. This palette is beautiful for the price you pay and I think it will suit all skin tones with the colour range in it. My personal favourite colour is the bottom right lightest colour. I honestly can't believe the pigment for something from the drugstore!

What are your favourite drugstore products?

Makeup Revolution: Brand Review

Makeup Revolution is a new brand to me but I honestly think it is amazing! This brand is available in Superdrug here in the UK which is really handy. It is also ridiculously cheap; you can get eyeshadow palettes from just £4 which is mad! I honestly couldn't recommend this brand enough to you. They do actually sell makeup brushes aswell which I haven't got round to trying yet but I will soon.

So the first product I got from this brand was the Beyond Flawless eyeshadow palette which has 32 eyeshadows in! I only paid £8 for this product which is crazy considering the amount of product you get in it. One thing I love about this brand is that all the palettes you get have mirrors in them which is always a bonus. In all honesty, I do think that this palette is worth the money; however, some of the shades are not as pigmented as other palettes you can get from this brand for a lower price. Below are some swatches of some colours from this palette, as you can see, they do have a nice colour but could have more pigment to them.

Next up is the Iconic 3 palette. This is by far my favourite palette by Makeup Revolution palette and it comes in at just £4 which is barely anything. The pigment in this palette is absolutely crazy, I am so impressed with it. This is actually meant to be a dupe for the Naked 3 Palette which I don't actually own but from looking at pictures, it really does look so similar. Below are some swatches from this palette, as you can see the colours are so pigmented it's amazing!

Next up is the Ultra Blush Palette in Hot Spice. I'm not going to lie, I am not the biggest blush fan but I am trying to branch out and try more and I thought this palette was the right place to start. This palette was £6 which means each blush comes in at less than a pound each. My favourite shades in this are the middle 2, I feel they give such a subtle peachy pink shade. You definitely need to be careful with how much you apply as they are so pigmented. Below is a picture of the swatches from this palette.

The final product I own from Makeup Revolution is the Ultra Contour Palette. This is definitely a dupe for the Anastasia contour palette. The shade I use to bronze all over the face is the bottom left shade and then use the shade next to it to contour. I sometimes struggle finding a good contour shade for my pale skin as they can come up as muddy but this one is ideal. I also love setting my under eyes with the banana shade! My favourite shade in this palette is the top right one! It does look very white in the pan but when used as a highlight it gives the brightest glow (dupe for The Balm, Marylou Manizer). Below are swatches for this palette.

Overall, I think this brand is amazing and I couldn't recommend it enough to anyone. For the price you pay, the pigment you get is stunning and I honestly did not expect it.

Have you tried any Makeup Revolution products? What is your favourite?

Top 5 Concealers

Concealers are a beauty must have especially for me. No matter how much sleep I get, my dark circles are so persistent. I also love concealers for highlighting parts of my face like under the eyes/cheekbones, centre of forehead, nose and chin. I am always on the hunt for a new concealer, weather it be drugstore or high end and I have tried quite a few in my lifetime.

Lets start with the newest in my collection and my all time favourite. Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer which I purchased from Debenhams for £17.50. This is one of the pricier concealers in my collection but in my opinion, the one worth the most money. This is the lightest shade that they sell which is a great colour for me and works really nice to highlight. This formula is so high coverage and yet not drying at all. Overall, I think this is an amazing concealer and I definitely recommend.

The next one is the cheapest of all the concealers at just £4.19 from Superdrug. It is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and I've probably had this one for the longest and have repurchased a fair few of them. For the price, this concealer is great. It is very full coverage to hide dark circles but isn't very creamy and can be quite drying. If you're on a budget and want a concealer to cover dark circles or hide blemishes then this concealer is ideal.

The next one is the LA Girl Pro Conceal and I purchased this from Beauty Bay for just £5. This concealer is great coverage and has a creamy consistency. For £5 you really can not go wrong! I would say the only problem with this is that it creases easily on my eyes but it can easily be solved.

My final high end concealer is the Pro Longwear Concealer by Mac. This is definitely an oldie but a goodie. Excuse the mess of it on the picture, it shows it is well loved! This is probably the highest coverage concealer I own (close second is the Urban Decay Naked Skin). The range in this collection is amazing and really does cater for all skin tones. I really do recommend this product, it retails at £18 which is the steepest purchase but is totally worth it.

The final product I will talk about is the L'oreal dream touch concealer at £6.99 from Boots. I wouldn't actually class this as a concealer but more of a highlighter. I will normally use a concealer such as the Collection Lasting Perfection and then apply this on top of it. I think this is really lovely to give your face some definition.

Have you tried any of these concealers? What are your favourites?

Elizabeth Arden: Eight Hour Cream

This is possibly the best multi-purpose product I own. This was a spontaneous purchase from the airport with my leftover euros and I have never looked back.

When on holiday, I burnt rather bad and this product was a lifesaver for me! Just putting a small amount on burnt skin is so soothing and heals it super quick. I have watched so many youtube videos on all the different ways this product could be used and it is just an amazing multi-tasking product.

My favourite way to use this product is for lip balm! My lips get extremely dry and nothing seems to fix the painful cracks I get.. apart from this. This looks lovely on its own in the day and gives your lips a lovely sheen but also looks lovely on top of a lipstick too as a gloss. I tend to use this overnight to leave it to really soak in to my lips.

Another thing I suffer with is eczema and when I get dry patches, I put the tiniest bit of this on (a small bit goes a long way) and it really does clear it up fast. I honestly think this product is absolutely amazing and is so worth the price you pay as it is so multi-tasking!

Have you tried this product, what do you use it for?

Urban Decay: Alice Through The Looking Glass Palette

So after seeing that one of my favourite brands, Urban Decay had teamed up with the new Alice Through The Looking Glass film to create an eyeshadow palette, I was so excited. I already knew that this eyeshadow palette would have the most amazing colours in. As a lover of Urban Decay already, I expected amazing things from this palette and I was definitely not let down by them.

I have owned this palette now fro around a month and I use it most days. You can achieve so many different looks with this palette as it has 20 shadows in it! I can create such a subtle look one day and the most dramatic bright look the next day! I know this palette is a bit on the pricey side but I honestly do believe that you get what you pay for in this circumstance and that this is worth every single penny. Since purchasing this, I have definitely been experimenting with my colour a lot more. A favourite look I like doing is to create a really nude beige/brown look on the lid and add green under the eyes; I find this really makes my blue eyes pop.

As far as pigment goes, you couldn't ask for better. Obviously Urban Decay are well known for their Naked palettes which are all amazingly pigmented and this one is no different. The only colour which I was a bit shocked with the colour was the shade 'Dream On' which is the end purple shade on the second row. I expected this to be a dark shimmery purple but it actually has barely any colour to it and is just really shimmery. However, I do think this is still a really nice shade to work with.

The packaging for this palette is to die for! It is so detailed and beautiful. I love the fact that it has the 3D butterfly in the top section and that you can pull out the eyeshadows. I also love the patterning on the outer part. The only problem with this packaging is how chunky it is! It isn't ideal for travelling which is a bit of an issue but I couldn't find any other faults with it at all.

First 2 rows of the palette
Second 2 rows of the palette

Have you tried this palette? What's your favourite eyeshadow palette? I'm always looking for recommendations.

Brand Review: Liz Earle

A couple of months ago I purchased these 3 products by Liz Earle. I bought the cleanse and polish with the radiant boost skin tonic for just £28. I also bought the intensive nourishment face mask for £16.  I took the plunge and purchased these after hearing all the hype about them and I am so happy I did!

Lets start with the cleanse and polish. This is my favourite out of all 3 products by a mile. I apply this after taking all my makeup off and then massage 1 pump into my skin whilst it's dry. I then use the muslin cloth which is provided in the pack to wipe it off (I wet it with hot water). From using this most days for around a month, I don't think I will ever go back! I have very dry sensitive skin but my skin does not react to this product at all and it is always so smooth after. This product also removes all the excess makeup which you thought you took off with the cleansing water.

Now let's discuss the tonic water. I follow up the cleanse and polish with the tonic water and it leaves my face so refreshed. The scent of this is also amazing and smells so fresh and clean. This also soothes my skin amazingly. I would definitely re purchase this product in the bundle it came in with the cleanse and polish as I think these 2 products compliment each other amazingly.

Finally, I have the intensive nourishment face mask. On the tube for this it says to leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then wipe it away with a muslin face cloth which is provided. The first time I used this I left it on for around 10 minutes and then went to wipe it but by this time, all the product had soaked into my skin as if it was a moisturiser. After realising this, I decided to use this as a deep moisturiser once a week and I think it works nicely to reduce the dry patches I get. If I'm going to be honest, I wouldn't recommend this product for the price you pay but it is a nice product if you have a high budget.

Overall, from these 3 products I have tried from Liz Earle, I love this brand and will definitely be trying other products from them.

Have you tried these products or any other Liz Earle products?

Nivea Post Shave Balm

Primer is an essential in my makeup routine. Without primer, my face would slip off about 2 hours into the day.

This product has been raved about all over youtube and I can really see why. Obviously this isn't a primer and is a post shave balm for men but it makes for an amazing primer! I bought this product from Superdrug for £5.29 which is cheaper than most drugstore primers. In this bottle you get 100ml of product which is great as you don't need to use anyway near as much product as you would for a regular primer. You only need a small amount as it spreads easily. This product becomes tacky when it begins to dry which means that it ensures your makeup will stick to it all day. This is now my favourite primer and I honestly can't see another one replacing it.

Have you tried this primer, what are your thoughts?

Favourite Highlighters

My makeup is never complete without a glow! A highlighter is my favourite makeup product ever; I feel my makeup is never complete without it. My beauty stash has a variety of different highlighters but only a few have made it to be in my favourites.

Lets start with my favourite highlighter ever. The MAC Soft And Gentle Mineralize Skin Finish is absolutely stunning. This highlighter has a champagney undertone to it. This one is ideal for an everyday glow but is still so shimmery. With this product, it isn't too overpowering where it is the only thing you are drawn to on the face but just gives the right amount of shimmer. I have had this highlighter in my collection for a couple of years now and I have never looked back. I will forever repurchase this product.

If your'e going out and want an all out highlighter then I would definitely recommend the Mary Lou-Manizer by The Balm. This highlighter has more of a prominent shimmer to it and a more gold undertone to it. The packaging for this product is much more sleek and compact and also has a mirror which is definitely something I look for in a product. The only thing you need to be careful with, is to not over-do it (which can be difficult). I know you can get excited with highlighters and want to throw it all on your face but you don't want to have a straight line going across your cheek! I would recommend this product to anyone who is a major highlighter addict.

(left) MAC Soft and Gentle, (middle) MUA Undress Your Skin- Radiant Cashmere, (right) Mary Lou-Manizer

Finally, I am going to tell you about my favourite drugstore highlighters. The first one is the MUA Undress Your Skin in Radiant Cashmere. This highlighter was ridiculously cheap at only £3! For this price I was expecting it to be no where near as good as my higher end highlighters but it is so similar to the previous 2 I have just talked about. As you can see in the image above; the MUA highlighter is the swatch in the middle and it is definitely a dupe for the MAC Soft and Gentle. The only difference is that you need to swirl your brush around quite a lot to pick up the product. I really recommend this product for the price!

The final product is a new highlighter in my collection but is my most loved at the moment. This is the famous Sleek, Solstice palette which only cost me £9! This palette is one of the most pigmented highlighter I own by a mile. You get 4 shades in this palette but 1 of them is a cream which I am not a fan of; however, the 3 powder shades (shown in the image below) are stunning. My favourite way to apply these is to mix all 3 shades together which makes the most amazing highlight!

To apply my highlight I use a variety of 2 brushes. For a more natural highlight, I use the Zoeva Luxe Sheer Cheek brush. This brush is the larger of the 2 and gives a more natural finish as it spreads the product over the full cheek bone. For a more dramatic finish I like to use a smaller brush to make the highlight more prominent. The brush I use is the Morphe M501. I use this brush because Jaclyn Hill recommended it and I trust everything she says!

What is your favourite highlight?

RCMA No Colour Powder

The RCMA brand as a whole is super underrated. However, this product has been raved about over youtube and various blogs. I actually bought this after hearing Kathleen Lights giving amazing comments about it. Another thing which drew me to it was the fact that it only cost me around £8 for 3oz which is a bargain!

Up to now I have used so many different face powders and I've liked some of them but never LOVED any... until I used this. This powder is called the 'no colour' powder which means that unlike translucent powders which still leave a white sheen on your face, this powder has completely no colour at all and lets the true colour of your foundation show through. My favourite way to use this powder is to bake my under eyes. Although this is great to bake with, it is SO messy and gives so much fall out so I would be careful if you are wearing black!

With other powders, I have noticed that they tend to cling to my ridiculously dry skin which is not a good look. This powder however, does not do this and makes my skin look flawless and smooths it out. It is also great to set the rest of your face makeup and I have noticed how it keeps my makeup on my face all day and stops it from sliding about.

I would defiantly recommend this product to anyone. Have you tried this product, what are your thoughts on it?

Beauty Haul

Recently, I've been lusting over new makeup, no matter how much new makeup I buy, it is never enough. Over the past couple of weeks I have collected a few different products which I am absolutely obsessed with. I've been obsessed with face makeup lately and having a flawless base.

The Body Shop- Insta Blur Primer
This primer is my favourite drugstore primer! This was a re-purchase for me and I am now on my 3rd tube. This primer just smooths out your skin and makes it look absolutely flawless. It does exactly what it says on the tube and it blurs out your imperfections and creates that flawless base in preparation for your foundation.

The Body Shop- Fresh Nude Foundation
This foundation was brand new to me. I was just browsing through my local Body Shop and came across this new foundation that the shop assistant recommended to me. I have fell in love with this foundation, it just gives me such a smooth base. This foundation contains aloe vera which means it is so moisturising which is amazing for someone like me who has extremely dry skin. I would say this foundation has a medium coverage which means it isn't too full on for an everyday look. I would say it is also semi matt but also gives a bit of a healthy glow. I will definitely be re-purchasing this foundation.

L.A Girl- Pro BB Cream
This BB cream was ridiculously cheap! I purchased it from Beautybay.com last week and have only used it a few times but I think it is perfect for those days when you want a very natural dewy look. It is very light coverage but looks so natural on the skin. If you have a lot of blemishes on your face and would prefer to cover them then I wouldn't recommend this BB cream but for me I love it.

Soap and Glory- Solar Powder Bronzer
I have heard so many amazing reviews of this bronzing powder but didn't want to cave in to the hype. I eventually purchased this online as it was at a reduced price and I do not regret it at all. I have very fair skin and most bronzers look orange on me but this gives a gorgeous glow with a natural finish.

Real Techniques Bold Metals- Arched Powder Brush
This brush has been on my most wanted list for a long time now but I couldn't bring myself to pay the high price tag which it has. I definitely wish I purchased this a long time ago as it applies my bronzer perfectly. It's the perfect size to bronze up my cheeks and around my hairline. I would definitely recommend ignoring the price tag of this brush as you won't be disappointed.
