Sephora Face & Feet: Sheet Masks

These were one of the products that I had on my Sephora 'wanted' list for the longest time. I have heard the most amazing things about these products- especially the face masks but I thought I would give the feet mask a whirl aswell. I'm always looking for new skincare products to make my face soft and hydrated and this face-mask sounded like the perfect thing. It says on the pack that it is 'ultra-moisturising and hydrating' and I would agree with this statement.

When you open up the sachet, the sheet mask is attached to another sheet which is soaked in the liquid. You then peel the sheet mask off to apply it to your face. There are holes for your eyes, nose and mouth so you can obviously breathe! The instructions then say to leave it on for around 10 minutes from what I can remember and then you peel it off. I would recommend getting into a comfy spot and lying down to keep the mask in place on your face. You could do this mask as part of a beauty night along with the foot mask and really pamper yourself. The face mask really does leave your face feeling plump and smooth. I would also say it refreshes your skin and makes you feel alot more clean.

The foot mask also does a similar thing. The packaging says that this mask is 'refreshing and relaxing' which is so true in my opinion. It leaves your feet feeling refreshed and so soft. I struggle with rough skin on my feet and this definitely smoothed my skin out and left them feeling amazing! You're probably thinking 'how do you have a mask for feet', well they come as little boot shaped bags that you put your feet in and then leave them on for 15 minutes. They actually eel really nice and refreshing and great for a pamper night when you just want to sit back and relax!

Urban Decay- All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

I have heard so many amazing comments about this product and have never thought it was worth the price tag for a setting spray. When shopping in Sephora, I was drawn in by the minis at the checkouts just like every other person is. It is so difficult to resist mini versions of makeup products, I just love how small they are. One of the minis was this All Nighter setting spray which I could never bring myself to purchase a full version, so this was the perfect opportunity for me.

So for half the price, I thought I would test out a smaller version in the hope that I would love it.. and I definitely do! This setting spray definitely is worth the hype and the money. Throughout the day, my makeup tends to rub off and become all patchy and I have never seemed to find anything to help prevent this. This setting spray is absolutely amazing and really does keep my makeup in place and really does do what it says on the bottle, I think this product is absolutely amazing.

Too Faced- Better Than Sex Mascara

Lets start off by making a rather large statement- ' This is my new favourite mascara'. I have been trying so many different mascaras for about 5 years now and I have never came across one I love as much as this. I bought this in New York for $23 which is around £24 which I class as rather expensive for a mascara! Saying this, I really do think it is worth it if you're looking for something to splurge out on.

This mascara makes your lashes so thick and long. It really does make your lashes look amazing. I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for a natural look as it gives a more extreme darker, intense eye. I like a more intense look even in the daytime so this really is a perfect mascara for me. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an intense evening look but is willing to pay a little more than usual.

Have you tried this mascara or any others that you can recommend?

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Stick Foundation

When shopping in New York, the one item that was the top of my makeup list was this Makeup Forever HD stick foundation. This cost me $43 which was about £33. I got mine in the shade R230 which is the most perfect shade for my skin! I always struggle finding the perfect shade as my skin is quite red tone and also rather pale but this is just the most perfect shade for me which I love!

A little product really does go a long way for this foundation. I tend to put a swipe on each cheek and my forehead and it is plenty of product to cover my whole face. As this is a stick formula, I honestly thought that it would be difficult to blend out and that you would have to work with it quickly but that is not the case at all. This is one of the most creamiest foundations I own and it blends out like a dream! I would say this foundation is medium coverage but definitely buildable. I would recommend this foundation to absolutely everyone and I really do think it is worth the money.

Mac Studio Fix Powder

I have recently arrived home from New York where I went for my 18th birthday! I have bought a ridiculous amount of makeup so I'm sure that the majority of my posts are going to be based off my trip in the next month or so!

I know that I can buy MAC in the UK but I bought this from Duty Free in JFK airport and it was so much cheaper that in England! I've been wanting this product for the longest time after hearing about how much coverage it gives. Most people us this on its own as a powder foundation but I love having really high coverage on my skin so I use this aswell as foundation to give a flawless finish.

I got my powder in the shade NC20 as I wanted it slightly darker than my normal NC15 shade as other brands don't always provide a shade as light as that. I've only used this powder a few times now but I really do love it. It doesn't give my face a cakey finish which is what I thought it would look like as it is such high coverage! But this powder gives such a natural finish to the skin and makes it look almost perfect! Also, I have dry skin and this doesn't dry my skin out whatsoever.

Have you tried this powder? What are your opinions?

L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara

I purchased this mascara around 3 weeks ago after hearing everyone loved it months ago. I just never got round to actually buying the mascara despite all the good reviews. The packaging of this mascara is actually really nice. It looks as if it is a more modern style with the purple lid but also looks really sleek paired with the black.

From looking at the brush wand, I presumed that this mascara woukd give me both length and volume which I thought would be amazing.

After trying this product, I actually really hated it. This mascara made my eye lashes so clumpy and spider like. It did give my lashes volume but then didn't spread them out and made them look horrible.

I heard so many amazing reviews about this product so I'm really not sure why I have been having bad experiences with it!

Have you tried this product? How was your experience with it?

L'Oreal Glam Bronze Cushion De Soleil

So in a previous post, I have discussed the cushion foundation by L'Oreal which was released with this product. The general gist of this product is that it is a cushion which is soaked in the bronzer which you then dab a sponge or brush on to then apply to your face which I think is such an odd thing which is why I was so intrigued.

Lets start off with the packaging! I love the overall packaging and think it is so sleek and compact and has a lovely mirror in it which is so handy for travelling! I also love the colour of this! I especially love how this bronzer is a liquid which I have never heard of before. I had heard of cream and powder bronzer but this is essentially a liquid.

The actual product itself is lovely. It leaves your skin looking like you've been to the Bahamas for a week. You look so sunkissed and glowy after it.The best part of this product is how natural it looks! The texture of it means that it blends in so lovely and looks like it's part of your complexion. I honestly would recommend this to absolutely anyone!

Marc Jacobs- Decadence

For a number of years now, I have been loving Marc Jacobs perfumes. I have owned the majority of his perfumes and my favourites are Daisy and Honey. In the past he has definitely focused on fun, sweet scents and never really ventured into deeper, mature scents.

The first thing I'll discuss is the packaging. All the previous packaging has been fun with flowers on the top and animals. I have always loved how extravagant he is with his packaging. For this packaging, it is so different to any before! This packaging is in the style of a bag and has a chain attached to the lid as if you would carry it around. I'm not going to lie and say that I love it because I really don't! If anything I hate this packaging. I think it is rather 'ugly'. It isn't fun like the others and looks a bit silly so I will definitely be carrying this around without the lid on.

In all honesty, I am absolutely awful at describing scents! I have no idea what this smells like at all.. All I can say is that it is more of a deeper, mature scent which is ideal for a night out. Although I think this, I love wearing this all the time because it is so lovely. When you first spray this, it comes across really strong but as it settles into your skin it does die down a little. Because I can't explain the smell, I got this description off a website 'The top notes include Italian plum, saffron and iris' so I hope that helps!

Favourite Moisturisers For Dry Skin!

I have extremely dry skin so it can be difficult finding a moisturiser to combat that. Over the years I have tried endless moisturisers and none of them seem to disguise my dry patches which I get all around my face. Recently I have found a couple which have worked but I am still on the hunt for a perfect formula which I will love.

Clinique- Moisture Surge
So this is the more expensive of the 2 and evidently the better one. This little pot costs £34 and I purchased this in the airport and it really did my skin wonders for the plane. The formula of this is like a gel which is really refreshing on the skin which I love. Sometimes moisturisers can feel greasy on the skin but this one really sinks into the skin and hydrates it.

The Body Shop- Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream
This one comes in alot cheaper than the Clinique moisturiser as just £12 which I think is amazing for a good skincare product. I always trust The Body Shop with skincare and this is no exception. This moisturiser is a cream formula but it just feels so hydrating on the skin and is quite thick so it really feels like it is soaking into your skin. I would say though that because this is so thick, I would apply it at night to get the full benefit.

L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation

I purchased this foundation really recently after hearing the big hype about it. This is a cushion foundation which essentially means that it is a cushion which is soaked in the foundation instead of a bottle. I really like this idea and think it is something different as I have never heard of it before. I think the only problem with it is that it may be used up alot quicker.

As far as the packaging goes, i think that this packaging is really sleek and really pretty. I love the colours and think this packaging was designed really well. As you open up the lid, you see a mirror and a pad which is meant for applying the foundation to your face. I am so glad there is a mirror in this packaging as it is a main factor I look for in all makeup.

I have tried the sponge provided to apply the foundation but it is really not ideal. It seems to soak up all the product and doesn't blend it properly into the skin. I tend to use a damp beauty sponge and dab it into the cushion then blend it into the skin and this is what seems to work best for me.

The actual product its self is really easy to blend out and gives a light to medium coverage but it easily buildable to get a desired finish. The foundation gives a really nice glow to the skin and looks really natural and gives a 'your skin but better' look. Overall I really like this foundation and would recommend it to anyone.

L'Oreal Paris- Elvive Etraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner

I am always on the hunt for a new shampoo and conditioner which I love. This shampoo and conditioner by L'Oreal in the ElVIVE collection is the new clay collection. On the website, L'Oreal states the following 'we have combined 3 refined clays into a hair care range to break the vicious cycle of oily roots & dry ends'. I completely agree with this statement. I struggle with oily roots and my hair getting greasy really quickly and really needed a shampoo and conditioner to combat this oiliness. My hair is also quite dry towards the ends so it is really difficult to help both of these problems at the same time.

I really really love this pair all together and really would recommend it! You can get these products from any supermarkets and shops such as Boots. The price of these are also rather cheap and are on offer the majority of the time.

Have you tried this collection or any other collections?

My Favourite Makeup Remover- Garnier Micellar Water

I've always been so picky with how I remove my makeup and I finally feel happy with the product I use. I used to be a go hard makeup wipe lover but after using cleansing waters, I always feel like so much makeup is still on my face after using wipes.

I normally use some cotton pads and just rub all my makeup off with this water. It really does remove every single bit of makeup on my face and my face feels so clean and refreshed after it! This water also feels so pure and clean and doesn't sting my face like other wipes sometimes do. The water is really amazing for people with any skin type!

Milani Baked Blush- Luminoso

I bought this blush about 6 months ago with extremely high hopes from all the amazing reviews it gets. I'm not actually a blush kind of person but I am willing to try out new ones in the hope that I haven't found 'the right one' yet. I bought this off the website http://www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk for £7.50 which isn't too expensive for a good blush.

The colour of this shade is a peachy colour and looks absolutely lovely in the summer and spring time. This colour really suits pale skin-tones and I can imagine it will suit slightly darker skin tones too. The finish of this blush is stunning! It is exactly like its name 'Luminoso' and is really illuminating on the skin and gives a lovely glow to the face.

Overall, I actually really like this blusher considering I'm not actually a huge blush lover. This really compliments my skin tone and gives such a gorgeous glow and I really would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a blush with a slight glow to it.

Have you tried this blusher? What are your opinions?

MAC Haul

Recently I've been really lusting over Mac products and really wanted to update my collection. I only purchased a few things but it definitely left a dent in my purse!

The first thing I got was the Studio Fix Fluid Fluid Foundation which was actually a re-purchase for me as I love this foundation so much. This foundation is really high coverage which I love in a foundation and it leaves a semi dewey finish to it. I also love the shade range of these foundations as normally the shades from the drugstore are too orange for me. I will forever re-purchase this foundation!

The next item I got was the Prep+Prime in the shade Light Boost. This is essentially a highlighting pen but I like to use it to cover up my dark circles too. This shade is really lovely for my fair skin and is light enough to make my undereyes highlighted and stand out. This is really easy to blend out aswell and is really creamy.

This product is one I have seen being hyped about so much! This is a pressed eyeshadow in the shade Nylon. This is a really amazing colour for the inner corner of your eye or a browbone highlight. Looking at it in the pan, the colour doesn't seem all that amazing and doesn't look shimmery at all but when you swatch it, it almost seems monochrome. Really love this shade overall.

Finally, I made another re-purchase as I have been without this product for a while and couldn't cope without it. I love this for enhancing the pigment in certain eyeshadows and really making the colour pop. I also love this for making my foundation dewey at the end of my makeup routine.

Have you tried any of these products or have any MAC products t recommend?

Touch Of Silver Brightening Shampoo

So, for the past month or so, I have been using this Touch Of Silver Shampoo which I have heard alot of people rave about. The general gist of it is that the violet pigment in it tones your hair and reduces the brassiness and makes your hair brighter. I have blonde hair but I would prefer to have bright white hair as opposed to dull blonde.

I have actually found that this shampoo has brightened my hair so much and made it look so much lighter. It actually looks like I have been on holiday and the sun has brightened my hair making it blonder. For this 150ml bottle, it is just £3 from Morrisons but is sometimes on 2 for £4 and you can actually buy a matching conditioner which I actually haven't tried but I imagine it is just as incredible. I would really recommend this to anyone wanting to brighten their hair.

Have you tried this? What are our thoughts?

Metallic Converse

So, I am going on a trip to New York next week for my birthday and decided that I wanted some 'holiday shoes' and came across these amazing converse on the ASOS website. These cost me £47 but I got 10% off because of my student discount which was a bonus.

I thought these converse were really different and unique to other converse which I own and i absolutely love them. There were a few other metallic shades like a silver one and a gold one but I thought this shade was a bit less 'in your face' than them. I also thought that they would go with alot more things than the other brighter shades. Overall, I really love them and I can't wait to be wearing them around the streets of New York!

What are your opinions on these converse?

GlossyBox- August Edition

So today I received Augusts version of GlossyBox. I look forward to this box every single month and always find some amazing goodies in this box. Next week, I'm actually visiting New York and was hoping to find some minis to take on my travels.

So this month, GlossyBox is 5 years old so to celebrate, Rae Feather has designed a little makeup bag style pouch. The inside of this pouch is actually water resistance which is incredible but I really love the design of this pouch and really think it will be amazing as a makeup bag for my upcoming travels.

The next few things I got were minis! The first thing was the Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask by MUDMASKY. I haven't tried this mask yet or any products by this brand but the sheet of paper says that it refines& tightens pores and hydrates, brightens and generally smoothes out skin which are big statements to make so I am very excited to try this! The price for the full product of this is £53 which is soooo expensive.

The other mini is the Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion by COWSHED. I have never even heard of this brand but this product seems so lovely! The smell of this product is so different to anything I have ever smelt. It definitely has a fresh smell to it and the ginger really stands out to me which is an odd scent for a body lotion. I'm really looking forward to using this because of how fresh it is.

The next product is the Deep Pore Facial Cleansing Brush by Spa To You. I have never tried anything like this before but i have seen alot of reviews on things like this. The difference with this one is that it isn't electrical and you just move it around yourself so I am excited to use this.

The final product is an MUA eyeshadow palette which I am really excited to use because I LOVE eyeshadows and love experimenting with new ones. The shades in this palette are really warm and maybe more suitable for autumn time.

Have you received this box? What are your thoughts?
